Originally a large period farmhouse and outbuildings, The Rivenhall Hotel was considerably extended and converted to a hotel in the late 1960s.
Since buying the Rivenhall Hotel in 2005, Greenwoods Estates has completed major refurbishments to the Reception, Lounge, Restaurant, Banqueting Suites, Fitness Centre and Conference Rooms, making The Rivenhall Hotel one of the most exclusive venues in Essex.
Facilities now include: a modern bar and lounge area; the original oak beamed Wildberry Restaurant; 55 en-suite bedrooms; 7 conference rooms including 2 beautiful banqueting suites and a modern Hi-Life Fitness Centre.
The Rivenhall Hotel is located at the heart of Essex, just off the busy A12 trunk road midway between Chelmsford and Colchester where it bypasses the small town of Witham.
Its strategic location means that the hotel is just a 20 minute drive to the M25 and 25 minutes from Stansted Airport. There are fast and frequent rail services to London’s Liverpool Street Station and the hotel has easy links to the Channel Ports and Haven Ports.

Getting to The Rivenhall Hotel
FROM THE NORTHBOUND A12, take the exit signposted for Silver End/Great Braxted which is immediately after the Fox Inn. Turn right at the “T” junction , go under the bridge and take the first right. The hotel is on your right hand side.
FROM THE SOUTHBOUND A12, take the exit signposted for Silver End/Great Braxted immediately after the BP Garage. The hotel is on your left hand side.
