Ken Dodd: Happiness Tour

KEN DODD is revered as one of Britain’s funniest comedians. He has enjoyed a professional career spanning over 50 years during which he has received numerous awards and accolades.

He tours non-stop with his famous ‘Happiness Show’ and has been seen in his own TV and radio series, and ‘specials’ like ITV’s much repeated ‘An Audience With Ken Dodd’ and an hour-long ‘This Is Your Life’ tribute.

His many chart-topping hits include ‘Tears’, which today occupies a place in the Top 10 best-selling records of all time.

His numerous showbiz honours include the first ever ‘Living Legend Award’ from the British Comedy Society, a Lifetime Achievement in the British Comedy Awards and in his home City of Liverpool he has been voted ‘Greatest Merseyside Of All Time’.

His portrait has been hung in the National Portrait Gallery, and his name is commemorated in the first ever ‘Avenue Of The Stars’ in London’s Covent Garden.

The Princes Theatre is the largest multi-purpose entertainment venue in North Essex. Run by the local council, it hosts a varied programme of family entertainment including concerts, plays, comedy and community events. They include regular performances by the Princes Theatre Youth Company, which is based here. The Theatre's home is the impressive Clacton Town Hall, where visitors can find out what else Clacton-on-Sea has to offer at the Tourist Information Centre.

Children Under 2
Children under 2 can be admitted free of charge if they are to be seated on a parent's lap. Children of all ages must buy a ticket if they require a seat.

The theatre has a good number of wheelchair spaces. All wheelchair users are entitled to 1 free carer ticket.
