The Shell Seekers
An evocative and passionate modern day classic, this heart-rending story of a modern English family is set in London and Cornwall between World War II and the present.
It is the story of Penelope Keeling, her family and the secrets, passions and heartbreak that have held them together for three generations. Recuperating after a heart-attack, Penelope takes time to look back on her life, enjoy time in her home and takes comfort in a painting done by her father. Having discovered the true worth of their grandfather’s work her children are keen to gain their inheritance early but Penelope has other ideas and is determined to restore peace to her life and put her life in order before anyone gets what is due to them.

THE WEST CLIFF THEATRE & ARTS CENTRE is owned and administered by The West Cliff (Tendring) Trust, a registered charity, for the benefit of the community, and is supported by Tendring District Council.
Regular ART EXHIBITIONS are staged in the Theatre's Foyer. There is a LICENSED BAR serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, hot and cold bar snacks, teas and coffees.
The 590 seat theatre stages a broad variety of professional shows, in addition to many amateur and charitable productions. It is also home to the West Cliff Stage Foundation, a popular and highly successful, self funding, youth group. The West Cliff Theatre is proud of its close association with the local schools and regularly provides training, and rehearsal space, as well as staging their productions. The auditorium is also available, and regularly used, for professional show rehearsals.
