THE WEST CLIFF THEATRE & ARTS CENTRE is owned and administered by The West Cliff (Tendring) Trust, a registered charity, for the benefit of the community, and is supported by Tendring District Council.

Regular ART EXHIBITIONS are staged in the Theatre's Foyer. There is a LICENSED BAR serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, hot and cold bar snacks, teas and coffees.

The 590 seat theatre stages a broad variety of professional shows, in addition to many amateur and charitable productions. It is also home to the West Cliff Stage Foundation, a popular and highly successful, self funding, youth group. The West Cliff Theatre is proud of its close association with the local schools and regularly provides training, and rehearsal space, as well as staging their productions. The auditorium is also available, and regularly used, for professional show rehearsals. The Stage Door Bar is the meeting place for many of the local community groups and the very successful Friends of the West
