Join us for a night of long words, harmonies and heartbeats. Local artist Alice Walker brings her band AlicebanD to sing songs and say funny things. With honest, rapid-fire lyrics about the awkward and messy side of relationships, offset by some jaunty piano and trumpet arrangements, AlicebanD manage to be fun, witty and original.

Ben Sommers
A bohemian childhood in west London, with early memories of a house full of the music of The Beatles, Barrett-era Floyd and David Bowie; a move to north London; a latent interest in songwriting slowly realised in his teen years; tentative gigs with friends; a move to Cambridge; musical partnerships with Noisettes’ superb drummer Jamie Morrison and future founder of Clor, Max Taylor; a seemingly endless search for the right musical collaborator... then, as often happens, things snapped into place: after creating the nom de plume Mozzy Green, a series of recordings were made, with Ben and co-composer and cellist Anna Scott the only permanent fixtures. A clutch of demos alerted label interest, and 360 Degree Music signed the band and Ben as a solo artist.

High Barn is spectacular Grade II* listed medieval venue based in Great Bardfield. The incredible character and acoustics of the building have been preserved by an outer shell leaving the timbers exposed internally, this has created a truly beautiful space with a unique ambience.

There is an oak stage and dance floor with full theatre sound & lights, an oak and glass entrance lobby and an elm faced store and toilet area with a gallery above.

High Barn houses all modern facilities, including an excellent bar and for those colder winter days there is underfloor heating.

High Barn is 20 minutes from Stansted, London Airport and easy distance from M11 and M25 motorways.
